The people involved with Commonsense Sustainability Solutions have a range of skills and experience. Past projects have included:
- Sustainable design, NatHERS (Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme) assessments and architecture for new and existing homes.
- Managing policy and content for the Australian Government’s ‘Your Home’ online resource (www.yourhome.gov.au) and developing the free 7 star house plans (Design for Place).
- Representing the Australian Government on APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Council) as a town planning expert and reviewing a low carbon model town in Indonesia.
- Leading community groups to establish new initiatives, such as achieving a 40% carbon emissions reduction target, light rail, car share, the establishment of the Canberra City Farm, providing recycled curtains to vulnerable households, and more.
